HVL is part of a consortium for the DIGIVITALITY project funded by the European Union as part of the INTERREG Danube Region program.

The healthcare industry is undergoing a rapid digital transformation, and with it comes a wave of innovative solutions. However, many of these groundbreaking ideas often struggle to make their way into the market or achieve widespread adoption due to structural challenges. This is where the DIGIVITALITY project steps in, offering a helping hand to accelerate the entry of healthcare innovations into the healthcare sector and facilitate their scaling up.

The core mission of the DIGIVITALITY project is to eliminate the roadblocks hindering the path of digital health innovations. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the project focuses on streamlining the collaboration between various key players in the healthcare ecosystem. This collaborative effort involves start-ups, medical technology companies, hospitals, and innovation hubs. DIGIVITALITY will develop a blueprint for a fast-track, multi-dimensional feasibility validation process, whereas selected digital health innovations parallelly undergo product & technology development, business case development, medical-clinical feasibility validation and early phase health technology assessment (eHTA).

One noteworthy inspiration for this collaborative effort comes from Germany. DiGA (Digital Health Applications) scheme offers a standardised process of certification and prescription of digital health applications, reimbursed by public health insurance.

The recent kick-off meeting of the DIGIVITALITY project in Prague received enthusiastic support, symbolizing the beginning of an exciting journey. As the partners work towards their mission, you can stay informed about their progress and developments through their official website here. By promoting collaboration and innovation, DIGIVITALITY is helping to shape the future of healthcare in Central Europe, making it more accessible and efficient for all.

In partnership with Health Venture Lab and 12 other organizations spanning 6 countries, the DIGIVITALITY project exemplifies the power of collaboration and open innovation in driving digital healthcare solutions forward. Stay tuned for more news and updates on this transformative initiative.
