Vienna 2023 Wolves Summit: A Night of Pitching Prowess

On Thursday, November 9th, our Managing Director, Olivia Blanchard, had the privilege of serving as a jury member for The Great Pitch Contest at the Vienna Wolves Summit. This event brought together eight promising startups from various industries, each vying for the chance to win prizes that could significantly impact their trajectory. As a member of the jury, alongside Karolina Wilk-Tryjanowska and Patrick Bartos, she was tasked with evaluating each pitch and selecting the most deserving startups to receive the coveted awards.

The Pitchers

The startups that participated in the contest were all exceptional in their own right, showcasing innovative ideas and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Each team had just five minutes to present their concept, highlighting their value proposition, target market, and competitive advantage. The pitches were engaging and persuasive, leaving the jury with the difficult task of selecting the winners.

Among the standout pitches were:

• Unicorn VR World: This startup is developing a virtual reality platform designed to enhance employee engagement and training.

• Move Mountains .ro: This company is providing a mobile app that connects users with local businesses and organizations, promoting community engagement and support.

• Very Good Exercises: This startup is creating a personalized exercise program that adapts to users' individual needs and preferences.

• Godot (R&D): This company is developing a new programming language specifically designed for game development.

• SuperviSee: This startup is offering an AI-powered video surveillance system that can detect and alert users to potential security threats.

• Phygit: This company is providing a platform that enables businesses to create and manage augmented reality experiences.

• ROCCO: This startup is developing a robotic platform that can assist with tasks in various industries, such as healthcare and logistics.

The Challenge

As a jury member, Olivia was faced with the challenging task of selecting the most deserving startups to receive the prizes. Each team had demonstrated their potential and passion, making the decision process difficult. However, we had to consider the overall impact of each startup and the potential for their ideas to make a significant difference in the world.

The Winners

After careful consideration, the jury selected the following startups as the winners of The Great Pitch Contest:
